I love photographing people in their space. There is something so personal, so cozy, and so intimate about using your home as the backdrop for your session. You spend so much of your time and money making your space personal to who you are. In home sessions are all about documenting where you are in this moment, whatever season you're in. Your home won't always have a toddler bed or toys all around. It won't always have a crib or little feet pitter-pattering down the hallway. You'll eventually move on from your first home together and the photographs are all you'll have left. Your home doesn't have to be perfect; a couch or a window, a bed, or even the outside of your home: the backdrop is secondary. Documenting the connection between you and your loved ones is what matters the most.
